Inter High School has the simple aim of developing
and preparing individuals for the next phase of their lives whether
that is further education, employment or other careers. A different
world awaits the next generation and they need flexible skills
to achieve life satisfaction.
The school believes in developing individual responsibility among the pupils
to take control of their lives and achieve their goals. In addition to teacher
evaluation, pupils will monitor their own progress and use self assessment
techniques to chart their progress.
The school believes that all students can achieve whatever they want only limited
by their own attitudes and boundaries.
Academic studies are designed to be straightforward and enjoyable so that pupils
are not overwhelmed by a large number of different subjects. Students will
study no more than two subjects per day.
Parents / Guardians will receive regular updates on pupil performance with
termly reports in all subjects and weekly subject grades. The school is currently
applying for registration with the Welsh Assembly Government. The school
will meet a set of "Standards" under the regulations of the Education Act
2002. The inspection agency, Estyn, will regularily inspect the school
and parents will regularly have access to the inspection reports.
