A degree of online learning success for Wey staff
Wey Education Plc is traded on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange and is the parent company of the UK’s leading online interactive educational group teaching the British iGCSE and A level curriculum to UK and overseas students. The group operates two secondary schools, InterHigh and Infinity Education, and through Weyecademy is expanding rapidly to offer services to other schools and educational providers in the UK and overseas.
Elizabeth Jeffries has been employee since 2009 and has seen many changes and been part of the continuous growth of both the school and the group since joining InterHigh School. Shortly after joining the school Elizabeth embarked on the long journey of gaining a degree from the Open University whilst working full time. Wey Education recognised and valued her contribution to the growth strategy and her dedication and enthusiasm for the online school provider. The company supported Elizabeth on her course and the investment made by Wey has paid off. This Summer Elizabeth, who currently focuses on HR administration for the group, has gained a BA(hons) Leadership and Management from the Open University. She gained distinctions in both the Human Resources and Team Leadership modules. Throughout the duration of the course, Elizabeth’s familiarity with online learning platforms and tools indeed stood her in good stead. She frequently assisted OU staff with their technical or user training issues and she was also able to expertly guide her peers in the use of online tools.
Elizabeth will attend her graduation ceremony in November at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff.
“A heartfelt thank you for all your support throughout my degree. It means a lot that you believed in me, and I am more grateful than I can put into words.”
Another outcome for the superior online learning in Wey Education.
